The NanoStem Cell Division uses Dip Pen Nanolithography technology to create proprietary nanopattern surfaces. DPN facilitates the production of nanopattern surfaces for stem cells by depositing chemical cues in a highly precise pattern onto a solid surface. The homogenous surfaces of single chemistries in nanoarray format are currently in development to control stem cell growth and differentiation, to keep adult stem cells in undifferentiated form or induce differentiation to a highly homogenous population of cells. Homogenous nanopattern biochips will provide control and scalability for producing undifferentiated or mature cell populations that will eventually enable us to produce large quantities of cells for stem cell-based therapeutics for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases.
